This year the Foundation received forty applications from graduating high school seniors. The donation for the scholarships in the name of Gregory J. Wilsey was made to the foundation by Matthew and Lisa Wilsey in honor of Mr. Gregory J. Wilsey who was an advocate for the youth of the area. The Believe 271 Foundation board would like to take this time to publicly thank Russ and Marianne Brooks for their generous donation to our foundation. Past Chief Brooks while Chief of the Utica FD took a group of brave Utica firefighters to assist at the 9/11 tragedy in New York City. You both will assist firefighters battling cancer.

Tonight I had the honor to present a check from the Believe 271 foundation to Joe Baker of the Lee Center Fire Department to help him with his illness. We are thinking of you Joe and get well. No one fights alone. Also the Lee Center Fire Department held a fundraiser for us and also presented us a check for $1500.00.  Thank you Lee Center Fire Department.
