Annual Pink Tie Gala

Local Business Owners and Service Organizations;

When you hear those three dreaded words, "You Have Cancer" your life, family and friends will be changed forever. Cancer is the leading cause of deaths within the fire services. Firefighters, whether career or volunteer, have a 73% greater chance of being diagnosed with cancer than the general public.

Since March of 2014, The Believe 271 Foundation, Inc., has assisted volunteers within Oneida and Herkimer Counties with this daunting diagnosis. To date this 501(c)3 organization has provided financial assistance to 125 firefighters in the amount of $419,682.00.

One of our main fund raisers is the Pink Tie Gala. An elegant evening of hors d’oeuvres, cocktails, buffet, dancing, and an opportunity to socialize with our neighbors. Please plan to join us on Saturday, October 19th at Hart’s Hill Inn from 6:00 to 11:00 pm for the 6th Annual Pink Tie Gala. Tickets for the Gala will be $75.00 per person or reserve a table of 8 for $600.00.

It is the hope you will become one of our many corporate sponsors for this event. Proceeds from the gala (including corporate sponsorships) will assist with direct financial assistance to firefighters and their family’s battling cancer and other life-threatening illnesses. The Believe 271 Foundation provides firefighter cancer patients with help with their housing, utility bills, travel and hotel stay out of the area for treatments, as well as medical supply needs.
